Cam Roller Bearings

A Cam Roller or Track Roller Bearing is a roller bearing designed to follow tracks or cams and in a wide range of linear motion systems. They are often found on conveyors or process applications in a range of industries such as beverage, food, glass, plastic and even mail sorting.

Cam rollers are popular where maintainability and system reliability are important design considerations. Their main function is to smoothly and evenly distribute the loads and they are available fully caged or with a full complement of rolling elements in a wide variation of styles and sealing arrangements.

The stud type cam roller usually has a standard duty stud but heavier stud types are also available to handle increased static loads. The yoke type cam rollers has no stud, has a hole through the middle and is usually used in applications where minimal deflection is necessary. In addition there are also a range of ball bearing track rollers. These track rollers correspond in their design to deep groove or angular contact ball bearings but have thick walled outer rings and support high radial forces as well as axial forces in both directions.
